Hinckley Equestrian has a thriving Pony Club centre where young people who do not
own their own ponies can benefit from all of the benefits of membership. Joining
the Pony Club gives you loads of opportunities to learn new riding skills, how best
to look after a pony, make new friends and have a great deal of fun. The Pony Club
is an international voluntary youth organisation for those interested in ponies and
riding. It is the largest association of riders in the world.
The Pony Club has 360
Branches in the UK and over 250 linked Riding Centres with in excess of 40,000 members
in total.
The Pony Club encourages young people to ride and more importantly to learn
how to care for ponies.
By becoming a member of Pony Club you automatically become
covered by Third Party Public Liability Insurance.
Achievement Badges
These cover a
range of basic equestrian and countryside topics, such as grooming and handling and
once achieved can be sewn onto your Pony Club sweatshirt.
Pony Club Tests
Starting
with the D test you can progress through the D+ and up to C standard. In addition
when taking the C test candidates are required to pass their Riding and Road Safety
Certificate. This helps to ensure riders are aware of the correct procedures to follow
when riding on the road.
Pony Club at Hinckley Equestrian Centre is run by Jenny on
a Monday night from
5.15pm-
